Platform Terms of Service
HAF Logistics Ltd · Last updated: 16 July 2026 · Effective: 16 July 2026
By creating an account or using the HAF KNECT platform you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the platform.
1. Who we are and who can use KNECT
HAF KNECT is operated by HAF Logistics Ltd ("HAF", "we", "us"), registered in England and Wales, registered office at Burton Road, Sheffield.
To use HAF KNECT you must be:
- At least 18 years old
- Based in the United Kingdom
- Using the platform for legitimate business or personal logistics purposes
Driver accounts additionally require successful completion of the Clever Checked compliance process via CleverPay before accessing live work on the network.
2. Account types and eligibility
Business Account (free)
For businesses and individuals who need to move their own goods. You can request courier services, track deliveries, and manage your account. No charge for the account itself — you pay per delivery.
Freight Forwarder Accounts
For companies and sole traders who forward freight on behalf of their clients. Available tiers:
- Freight Free — post loads and access the network at no monthly cost
- Freight Plus — £500/year (or monthly equivalent) with a 1% rebate on jobs
- Freight Pro — £1,000/year (or monthly equivalent) with a 3% rebate and 3 team seats
All freight accounts operate on a pay-upfront basis. No credit lines are offered.
PLNA Driver Accounts
For sole-trader and limited-company couriers joining the HAF network to take on work. Driver accounts must complete the Clever Checked verification process and maintain valid insurance and documentation throughout their time on the network. See the Driver & Courier Network Terms for full details.
KNECT Founders Members
An invitation-only membership for early network participants who share in network performance rewards. Founders terms are agreed separately.
HAF KNECT is a logistics platform connecting those who need goods moved (senders) with verified courier drivers on the HAF PLNA network.
- Senders post job details and receive a price. Once confirmed, HAF assigns a verified driver from the network.
- Drivers receive jobs via the KNECT Exchange — direct invites or open-network postings matching their location and vehicle type.
- HAF acts as the service provider to senders and manages driver engagement through the PLNA network and CleverPay compliance framework.
- HAF is not an employment agency. Drivers are independent contractors and are responsible for their own tax, national insurance, and compliance obligations.
4. Bookings and jobs
When a booking is made:
- The sender provides accurate collection and delivery details. Incorrect information that causes delays, failed deliveries, or additional costs may be charged back to the sender.
- HAF will assign a driver and confirm by text/WhatsApp within 15 minutes for urgent bookings, or as agreed for pre-booked slots.
- Once a driver accepts a job on the Exchange, they are committed to completing it. Abandoning a confirmed job without valid reason may result in a network conduct review.
- Guide prices shown on the platform are estimates. A confirmed price is provided before payment is taken.
- Special loads (hazardous materials, temperature-sensitive goods, items requiring specialist handling) must be declared at the time of booking. HAF reserves the right to decline undeclared special loads.
5. Payment terms
Senders (Business and Freight accounts): Payment is required upfront before a job is assigned to a driver. We accept payment via card through the platform. Freight accounts operate on a pay-per-job basis — no credit facilities.
Drivers: Driver earnings are settled weekly via CleverPay. Each Monday-to-Sunday block of work is invoiced and paid the following Wednesday. The CleverPay fee is a flat charge per weekly invoice block, regardless of how many jobs were completed in that week. See the Driver Terms for full settlement detail.
Refunds: If HAF is unable to fulfil a confirmed booking, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Cancellations by the sender within 30 minutes of booking confirmation may incur a £10 administration fee.
6. KNECT membership
KNECT membership (Freight Plus and Pro) is billed via Stripe. By subscribing you authorise Stripe to charge the applicable fee on a recurring basis.
- Annual subscriptions give access for 12 months from purchase date. Annual billing equals 10 monthly payments (2 months free).
- Klarna buy-now-pay-later is available on annual subscriptions only.
- You can cancel future renewal by contacting hello@usehaf.co.uk at least 7 days before your renewal date. No refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription period.
- HAF reserves the right to adjust membership pricing. We will give at least 30 days' notice before any price change takes effect on your subscription.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform to move prohibited goods (drugs, weapons, counterfeit products, or any goods whose movement is restricted by UK law)
- Attempt to circumvent the platform by engaging drivers you met through HAF KNECT for direct (off-platform) work
- Share your account credentials with any other person
- Submit false information in a booking or account application
- Harass, intimidate, or threaten drivers, HAF staff, or other platform users
- Attempt to access or interfere with any part of the platform you are not authorised to use
- Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or harvest platform data
8. Suspension and termination
HAF may suspend or close your account if:
- You breach these terms or any applicable law
- Your CleverPay compliance status lapses or is revoked
- We reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of the platform
- You fail to pay outstanding amounts owed
You may close your account at any time by contacting hello@usehaf.co.uk. Outstanding jobs or payment obligations must be settled before closure is processed.
9. Liability
HAF acts as the logistics service provider. To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:
- HAF's liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the booking in question
- HAF is not liable for indirect or consequential losses (loss of business, revenue, data, or goodwill)
- HAF is not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our control (severe weather, road closures, third-party failures)
- Goods in transit are covered by the driver's own goods-in-transit insurance. HAF is not an insurer. If your goods are damaged in transit, you must claim through the driver's insurance — we will provide relevant documentation.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.
10. Disputes
If you have a complaint about a delivery or your account, contact us first at hello@usehaf.co.uk. We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 business days.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes that cannot be resolved by agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform grows. We will publish changes at this URL. For material changes affecting your rights or costs, we will notify active account holders by email with at least 14 days' notice.
